Hawzah News Agency- Senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli, in a video message to the ICAIR 2024 annual conference, which was held in Toronto, Canada, stated,” While the current society had and still has scholars and elders, it is possible to move in the path of ignorance. There were two malignant diseases that plagued mankind: one was that they lived in darkness and wonder about the past, and the other was that they lived in absolute darkness regarding the future.”

He further stated that the basic human problem is self-forgetfulness and noted,” The basic human problem is self-forgetfulness. He has completely lost himself because he has neglected his origin, he does not consider his future and is caught in ignorance, this ignorance causes one to go astray. So now, if the western world thinks that man will never die and will not be destroyed, his future will be clear and bright. If he realizes this fact that man is not self-made, he comes out of darkness and moves between two lights. When he moves between two lights, he neither goes astray nor blocks anyone's way, therefore the Almighty God said that the first thing is not to forget oneself.”

Senior scholar Grand Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli reminded in the end that Just as the Holy Qur'an was able to destroy the old ignorance, it can also destroy the modern ignorance and we will no longer witness the dire situation in Gaza and the likes of Gaza.
